Is smoking cool, macho, or evil?

For as long as we know, smoking is what all cool, bold, and enigmatic people do. Description of all macho heroes in novels and movies is also in the same lines, where a man is shown with a cigar or a cigarette. This is a bad influence on children, teenagers and youngsters, who try to imitate every idol they see the most.

So is smoking cool or evil? Children as young as 12 years of age start smoking and do not reach even late forties as consequences. Smoking is the highest cause of death, which can be prevented. The stress is on ‘which can be prevented’. But sadly, we do not do anything to prevent it.

Government

- Many governments around the world have banned smoking in public places. They are also giving out support to people who want to quit smoking.

Champix

- A new drug called Champix arrived in many parts of the world to help people get rid of the world. It is said to be the most effective drug for smoking cessation with 44% success rate. Nevertheless, the evil of smoking remains persistent.

The first step that should be taken to contain smoking is wiping away the image of smoking that people carry in their minds about smoking. Smoking is neither glamorous, nor cool. I can’t imagine how can people find smoking glamorous, is lying on a hospital bed with breathing tubes creeping out from nostrils glamorous? If not, smoking is also not glamorous or cool.

With an effective drug like Champix, and with support groups, one can at least try to quit smoking. Instead of giving excuses, it makes sense to get Champix, join some group for smoking cessation, and make an effort to quit smoking. Champix is available in most of the countries, find out if it is available in your country or not.
